Tour 10: Victoria & the Malahat (2 days, 1 night)

The City of Victoria is a tantalizing taste of what can be expected on Southern Vancouver Island. Make it an overnight adventure by starting in Vancouver heading over to Victoria, “The City of Gardens” and spend the night over looking the city and distant Olympic Mountains from one of Canada's best hotels.

Starting out early, we'll catch one of BC Ferries' modern and well-appointed ferries to Vancouver Island. Once we've landed at Swartz Bay terminal, we’ll drop in on the Butchart Gardens before heading into Victoria for some free time before heading north out of the city into the Malahat, a mountain pass that overlooks the tranquil Finlayson Inlet.

We’ll overnight at the world-renowned Chateau & Relais, The Aerie Resort. There, you can repose in the spa or take in a cooking or falconry lesson at the resort before settling into a culinary experience par excellence in the dining room.

The second day, we’ll continue along the Malahat, stopping in the cutest tourist-town of Chemainus- with its murals and can-do attitude that makes a lunchtime visit well worthwhile. Arriving into the bustling city of Nanaimo, we’ll catch one of BC Ferries' sleek S-Class ships to Horseshoe Bay in West Vancouver, before returning to your hotel in Vancouver.
